In 1974, Rang-ay was presented the Gawad Quedancor for Top Lending Bank by the Quedan Rural Credit and Guarantee Corporation (Quedancor). The following year, it was the recipient of the Outstanding Rural Bank of the Year award from the Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas(BSP) for operational efficiency, adherence to sound banking practices and for having achieved substantial growth rates.

Rang-ay Bank was adjudged Outstanding Countryside Financial Institution with the most improved systems and procedures based on its performance records from 1994 to 1998. It was also cited by the Land Bank of the Philippines as the Most Outstanding Participating Financial Institution of the Countryside Loan Fund (CLF) in 1996, 1997, 1999, 2001 and 2002. This annual award is given by Land Bank to its participating countryside financial institutions (including thrift, rural and cooperative banks) in the different regions. The award was in recognition of Rang-ay’s exemplary performance in terms of the number of projects it has financially assisted, the socioeconomic impact of these projects, total loan availment, industry distribution and environmental compliance.

In October 16, 2003, the bank was again honored as the Most Outstanding Countryside FinancialRangay 1 Institution in the Ilocos and Cordillera regions and one of the Most Outstanding in the country. Rang-ay received this recognition as a model of excellence in rural banking for two consecutive years.

Rang-ay started offering money transfer service through the Western Union-PETNET facilities in 1999. On the same year, the bank received four awards from PETNET as the Most Supportive Rural Bank, the bank with the Highest No. of Transactions and the Highest Increase in Transactions.

In 2000, Rang-ay topped two remittance programs – Western Union-PETNET and Uniteller- both of which ranked the bank as No. 1 in their respective remittance programs. The following year, Rang-ay outshone 174 other rural bank sub-agents of PETNET in the country having posted the highest volume of Western Union- PETNET transactions, generating the highest number of such transactions and being the most supportive rural bank to this money transfer facility.

Rang-ay Bank was among six recipients of the Gold Award of Excellence from Equitable PCI Bank on November 15, 2000. Rang-ay was cited for “consistently delivering superior and innovative products and services to (its) customers” and giving value to “business excellence that advances Philippine progress.”Rangay 2

In 2003, Rang-ay was again honored as the Most Outstanding Countryside Financial Institution in the Ilocos and Cordillera regions and one of the Most Outstanding in the country. It received this recognitions as a model of excellence in rural banking for two consecutive years.

In July 21, 2005, The bank was awarded a Plaque of Recognition for its consistent support and involvement in programs for small and medium enterprises (SMEs) and for its commitment to the Small and Medium Enterprise Development Council (SMED) in La Union.

In January 16, 2006, The Provincial Board of La Union and the City Council of San Fernando presented separate resolutions commending Rang-ay Bank for its contribution to the development of the local economy. The Provincial Board cited the bank as "a source of pride for residents of the province" and for having lent billions of pesos to countries borrowers in La Union and in the entire Ilocos and Cordillera regions for the past 50 years. The City Council also cited Rang-ay Bank as the oldest rural bank in La Union and the very first privately-owned bank to open in San Fernando.

Rangay 3Rang-ay received the Pammadayaw Award from the Province of La Union in March 2, 2006 for its significant contribution to the economic development of the province.

Rang-ay Bank was awarded a plaque of recognition in July 21, 2006 for its consistent support and involvement in programs for small and medium enterprises (SMEs).
